It’s been a long time coming, but this new platform is finally up and running! We are thrilled that you are here and we’re excited about the journey we’re about to take together!

For many of us, we are/can be very successful in work and other outside projects. We are strategic, disciplined, intentional. But often times that same set of skills is checked at the door when it comes to our personal lives. Maybe it’s due to having nothing left in the tank because we give so much of ourselves away. Maybe it’s because we’re too close to it, it’s too personal, tied up in emotion and baggage and history and expectations so we get overwhelmed and don’t even know where to start. Another common deterrent is that we’re just trying to survive today or this week or this month, so any kind of long term thinking seems out of reach. We are constantly being sidetracked by the tyranny of the urgent. And then for some of us, maybe we just aren’t thinking about it at all. We’ve never even considered what would happen if we applied the same skill and effort into these areas of our lives.
The good news is that you are NOT ALONE in facing and dealing with these challenges. We are ALL on this journey together! The big question is how do we move forward and make the course corrections necessary to get where we want to go?
God first planted the idea for this platform inside of me a few years ago. I often find myself in situations where the people around me begin to ask a lot of life questions. They want to talk about marriage and relationships, or parenting, or how to pursue their dreams. Others want to talk about faith and their spiritual journey and even more specifically about how to figure out and pursue their true purpose, their unique calling in life.
This doesn’t happen because I’m the smartest or wisest person, but more often than not it happens because of the journey that I have been on. God has blessed me with a vast array of experiences in all of these areas. Some have been great! Others have been extremely difficult. But through it all I have learned some really valuable lessons.
And the timing of this is no accident either. The year leading up to this was one of a kind. First of all I turned fifty! Then my mom passed away very unexpectedly. In this same year I went back to school, dealt with some major transitions with all of our kids – my wife and I have eight between us – and as if all of that wasn’t enough, I went through a significant battle with cancer. What I came out the other side with was an overwhelming sense of urgency that life is precious, and short. The bottom line was that God was saying that the time to do this was NOW!
All of this, coupled with the fact that I love to encourage, coach and teach people, has led me to create this platform. Nothing excites me more than seeing people grow and live the life they’ve always wanted. I never get tired of seeing someone come to life for the first time when they discover their purpose, or seeing the fruit that comes from making a decision to change and do things differently.
My hope is that as this develops, more and more voices can join me in sharing wisdom and experiences that can help ALL OF US grow!
